Globalink Agents about to gather in the Canary Islands – does that make them Galahs?
01-Apr-2011 For non-Australians, a Galah is a raucous bird similar to a parrot in appearance. They gather in numbers and peck the fields until there is nothing left, screeching and squawking with each other.Every year, the members of Globalink gather en-masse to collectively decide policy, build business relationships, solve supply/customer issues and also have time for social gatherings in a less formal atmosphere.
While I am not comparing the Globalink meeting to a flock of Galahs, there have been some social moments where the resemblance is uncanny. All the same, I am looking forward to seeing my global partners in April, many of whom have become very close personal friends.
